Computer Video Games Guide |
Computer
Video Games
are incredibly popular nowadays. The young and the old play these
interesting and exciting games day and night. In fact, computer video
games are one of the most favorite games ever.
The earliest known computer video games appeared long ago. In 1947 the
first game with an electronic device was invented, and it was called
'Cathode Ray Tube'. Later many more computer video games got patents.
Still all of them were primitive comparing to modern ones. They looked
like radar displays. But the first computer video game that was
commercially sold and used coins was 'Computer Space'. Then it was
followed by a great many computer video games and each one was
more and
more advanced and used more improved technologies. Thus the success of
these games has spawned the industry of computer video games, and there
also many strategy
computer games and multiplayer computer
games appeared.
To play any computer game,
a player should
use some platform (that is a combination of hardware and software), but
often the term system is used. You see, now computer video games are
very demanding to hardware. For example, a player should have Windows
XP or 2000 at her PC and Direct X 10 can be necessary. But free computer games
set lower
system requirements, as a rule.
The genres and types of computer video games can be very different. As
for types, they are casual games, core games and serious games (it
mainly depends on the fact for whom these games are developed). And
genres are generally horror-themed and military-themed. But the video
game industry produces life-like computer video games. The main aim of
computer video games is entertainment. That's why they are have a
user-friendly interface, good graphics and sound. So you can enjoy a
great computer video game to your own taste!
